Devastation grips Franklin Virginia after 21-year-old Zaire Usher-Evans died from gunshot wounds on Bruce Street. The shooting occurred at 2:02 a.m. on April 19. Responders transported him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital but efforts failed. Franklin Police Department Southampton County Sheriff’s Office and Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office investigate the homicide. No suspects named yet.
